Christening the Universal

Today I had the pleasure of beginning what I foresee to be a long and tumultuous love affair with my Mamiya Universal press camera.  For those who are unfamiliar, it is a medium format boxy beast of a camera.  Holding it in ones hands gives an immense feeling of pride and knowing how to operate, even greater.  This is the first photo by me that ever has been thrust from its attached polaroid back (or any back for that matter).  Pictured is my good friend (photographer, editor, designer of websites and genius) Baii.

It began to snow less than an hour after this was taken, the second of the season to show any pileup.  We were at the vacant state fairgrounds looking for nothing in particular.
